Hope for the Journey
Freedom. May each one of you be blessed and full of joy as we celebrate Freedom. How blessed we are to live in the United States. Never forget that our freedom is not free! Our country’s freedom has been bought and paid for with the blood of those who have sacrificed through the centuries so that you and I could live in a country that allows us the freedom to choose who we worship, how and where we live, what we believe in, and how we live. The only limits on this freedom in our constitution are that my freedom ends where other’s freedom begins. We may not yet do this perfectly, but how blessed we are to live in a country where this is the ultimate law of the land and where each day, we as a society are striving to come closer to this ideal.
More importantly, our eternal freedom was bought and paid for on Calvary 2000 years ago. Our God who created everything that exists by simply speaking, chose to step off His throne in Heaven, clothe His divinity in human flesh, and come live on this planet to show each of us how much He loves us. Ultimately, He then chose to pay the penalty for my sins and yours so that at the Judgement Day His perfect life would be credited to me and I would not have to die to pay for my sins. What glorious freedom! I pray each day for each one of you to receive His favor and blessing on your lives, families, and your businesses.
