Gal. 5:6 says “What is important is faith expressing itself in love.” In the chaos of the world we are living in today this verse says it all. True faith is not merely an intellectual assent or adherence to religious law, but an active, living faith that manifests in love for others. This love is not just an emotion but a deliberate act of selflessness, kindness, and compassion that reflects the heart of God. In this way, faith is proven genuine when it is accompanied by love, which is the highest expression of God’s will for humanity.
This verse serves as a powerful reminder that the essence of Godly living is relational rather than ritualistic. The apostle Paul, who wrote this ...
Freedom. May each one of you be blessed and full of joy as we celebrate Freedom. How blessed we are to live in the United States. Never forget that our freedom is not free! Our country’s freedom has been bought and paid for with the blood of those who have sacrificed through the centuries so that you and I could live in a country that allows us the freedom to choose who we worship, how and where we live, what we believe in, and how we live. The only limits on this freedom in our constitution are that my freedom ends where other’s freedom begins. We may not yet do this perfectly, but how blessed we are to live in a country where this is the ultimate law of the land and ...
I found an interesting verse this week. It is Proverbs 11:24-25. It says, “Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will be refreshed themselves.” I don’t actually recall reading this verse before, but it really struck me. Anytime we try to hold onto something and not share it with others, we lose. However, when we hold things loosely and look to find others with whom we can share, we are promised refreshing, favor, and blessing. I believe that this verse is speaking not only about money but also about all of the blessings we have.
Trusting God: Surrendering Every Detail of Your Life
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the challenges, uncertainties, and decisions that we face. From career choices to relationships, from health concerns to financial struggles, the weight of these burdens can often feel unbearable. Yet, as Christians, we are called to a different perspective—a perspective grounded in faith, trust, and surrender to the will of God.
In Psalms 37:5, we find a powerful reminder of God's faithfulness and provision: "Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you." These words echo throughout Scripture, emphasizing the importance of entrusting our lives, our plans, and our ...
In times of uncertainty and challenges, many turn to scripture for guidance, solace, and reassurance. One such passage that offers profound wisdom and comfort is Psalms 32:8 in the New Living Translation (NLT). This verse reads, "The Lord says, 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.'"
At its core, Psalms 32:8 encapsulates the divine promise of guidance and protection from the Lord. Let's explore the significance and application of this verse in our daily lives.
Firstly, the verse emphasizes the Lord's active role in guiding His people. It conveys the assurance that God is intimately involved in the journey of ...
My wish for each one of you is: “May the Lord of peace give you His peace at all times. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Friends I have found our Creator God to be faithful at all times in even the most dire of circumstances. Trouble does come to us all but He will always be with you even in the worst of times if you just ask Him to be with you. If any of you have need of prayer please be sure to drop me an email at nihe@earthlink.net and I will put you on my daily prayer list. May God richly bless you in all you do.
Psalms 37:5 says “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him and He will help you.” I don’t know about you but getting the Creator of the universe to help me get through each day is an amazing blessing and resource to be able to tap into. As I get older, I am impressed with the futility of trying to do things by myself. In the past when I have tried to get things done on my own I frequently fell far short of my dreams and goals. In recent years, as I have learned to turn over to Him not only my big dreams, goals, and wishes, but also my daily challenges I have found that not only do I accomplish so much more, but I also have peace doing it. Why don’t you try it today? You ...
Psalms 37:4 “Don’t’ be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep travelling steadily along His pathway & in due season He will honor you with every blessing.”
With all of the challenges that everyone is facing today, this promise is one you can cling to. In every area of my life, I have found that if I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, over time I get both the small and the big jobs accomplished. Be faithful everyday in doing the small things and you will be amazed at how much you get accomplished. Break big jobs down into bite sized pieces and do one piece every day. When you do this all of the insurmountable tasks that seem impossible ...
Ps. 32:8 says “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. “ I don’t know about you but I like the sound of having the Creator of the universe guiding me along my journey in this life. I can tell you from experience that He will open and close doors, prompt you when you need to know which way to go, and provide protection from the dangers of this world when needed. Don’t miss out, just ask Him for help and He will deliver!
Hope for the Journey—Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” I love this promise. However, like all of God’s promises I have learned that I have a part to play in its fulfillment. God always wants to come first in our lives. He says in Exodus “you will NOT have any other gods before Me.” Unfortunately, the world around us encourages us to put fun, pleasure, money, business, and all sorts of other things before God. I have found that the key to seeing Proverbs 16:3 fulfilled in my life is to go to God first every morning and ask Him to take control of my wants, my desires, my schedule, even my chance encounters throughout the day.&...
