Hope for the Journey 061722

Romans 8:28 We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan.

Did you know that you are chosen by God to be His special person?  Deuteronomy 14:2 says that “the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.”  John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes on Him might be saved.” 

Each one of us qualifies as a part of ‘whosoever’.  God did the hard part, our part is easy we just need to choose to believe that He loves us and wants to make us a part of His chosen, special people, people for whom He makes all things work together for our good.

If you are feeling like the world is coming against you, you have friends that say awful things about you, your finances are in the hole, your doctor gave you a bad report, your spouse has left, your kids are a mess, don’t give up.  The God who spoke the universe into existence is going to turn all of this around into something good and blessed.  James 1:5 says “you have not because you ask not”.  My dear friend, start asking God to work on your behalf.  Ask Him to bless everything you touch; ask Him to bless every word you speak; ask Him to bless your health, your finances, your job, and your family.  Then start thanking Him for the blessings that are on the way, even before they arrive.  You can do this because God is faithful and no matter what your need, no matter how dire the situation looks, He will work all things out for your good.   In my experience sometimes His idea is so much bigger than what I even asked for that I am astounded.  Keep asking and thanking and stand back to see what God will do!
