John 16:24

“Until now you have not asked anything in my name.  Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”

I love this promise that Jesus gave us.  I have proved it over and over to be true.  When I have put all of my effort into a situation and there is still no resolution, time and again I have turned to this promise.  Going to God the Father and asking for help in the name of His son, Jesus, and then thanking Him for the help that I know is on the way has proven time and again to be a winning solution.  He doesn’t always answer as fast as I want Him to or in the way that I expect, but I have found He always comes through for me.  In this same talk Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33  Note He doesn’t say all is wine and roses.  He says you will have trouble but He promises that since He has overcome He will help you to do the same.   

So my dear friends, when the storm of life is raging around you and you feel that you can't keep going any more, go to the source of all peace.  Claim the promises above and ask Him to solve your problems.  Whether its a financial challenge, a relationship gone wrong, or any other of the many pitfalls of life He is the answer and He is just waiting for you to come and ask Him for help.  He has done it hundreds if not thousands of times for me and I know He will do it for you too.  You too can be content and at peace knowing that the King of the Universe is on the job and working already to solve your problems.   Isaiah says "Before they call I will answer.  While they are yet speaking I will hear".  Try it and your life will never be the same!
